"Pranayam" Malayalam movie review
Blessy made looks it easy with the approach he developed towards "Pranayam" Malayalam movie, Well moulded and beautiful story telling made this film a special one, If you haven't watch this movie, then you are missing something......
Achutha Menon performed by Anupam Kher, a romantic man in the age of sixties, who came to the city to stay with his son Suresh enacted by Anoop Menon living in an apartment. Achutha Menon survived a heart attack before coming to his son's flat.
In this way, a day came when Achutha Menon came face to face with his
divorced wife Grace settled by Jaya Prada. Due to this incident, Achutha Menon got unconcious and fell down in the elevator. Grace took all the necessary step to take Menon to the hospital. Grace is also staying in the same apartment with her husband Mathews performed by Mohanlal, is a retired philosophy professor and a stroke which left him partially paralyzed and requires his wife's help to perform day to day activities.
Mathews move in a wheel chair. Both Mathews and Grace are came to stay with her daughter Asha enacted by Dhanya Mary Varghese. In the later half of the movie, Mathew joins the company of Achutha Menon and Grace with the family. Achutha Menon helps his former wife to manoeuvering her husbands difficult time.
A sincere effort to the film making made "Pranayam" a beautiful one by director Blessy. Mohanlal as usual the best actor in the country we have gave his superb for the scenes. Anupam Kher and Jaya Prada also done their best. Special applause for Anoop Menon, who managed to done some perfect scenes among the biggies. Niveda, Niyas, Aryan, Apoorva, Sreenath, Navya Natrajan were made it their roles.
Songs are good by O.N.V. Kurup and M. Jayachandran which is sang by P.Jayachandran, Shreya Ghoshal, Vijay Yesudas, Mohanlal and Shareth. Special mention for Cinematography of Satish Kurup and his visualization made this movie a gem. Raja Muhammed's editing also need a mention which settles the movie. P.K.Sajeev and Anne Sajeev produced this film under the banner of Fragrant Nature Film Creation. Distributed through Max Lab Entertainments.
