Padmashri for Priyadarshan.........

Malayalam movie director Priyadarshan honoured with the prestigious Indian Government Award Padmashri. Priyadarshan is one of the person who has been declared the awardees for the year 2012. His directed Tamil movie "Kanchivaram" graced with the National Award for Best Film.


                               Priyadarshan's excellence in the film field gave him the opportunity to get selected for this prestigious award. His recently released malayalam movie "Arabeem, Ottakom, P.Madhavan Nairum" gets the mix response from the audience. He is currently busy doing works
for his latest hindi movie "Tezz" and other committments like CCL and Chairman of Kerala State Chalachithra Academy. 


                                        Along with Priyadarshan, there is another person who won the Padma Bhushan Award is well known Director Mira Nair, who had directed films like "The Namesake" and "Vanity Fair" recently. Well good news for the Malayalam cinema.
