"Akasathinte Niram" shortlisted for the Oscar race
For the first time in the Malayalam Cinema history, a malayalam film has been shortlisted for the prestigious award Oscars. After its screening at California, Laemmle Theater at Falbrook, with 282 films "Akasathinte Niram" have won the nomination for the "Best Picture".
Dr.Biju directed malayalam film "Akasathinte Niram" got the Kerala State Film Awards in 2012 with Best Cinematography, Special Jury Award for
Best Direction and Best Processing Lab. Indrajith, Nedumudi Venu, Amala Paul, Indranse, Master Govardhan and others include the cast of this film revolve around the life of a burglar , who incidentally lands up in a island where few peoples live and came near to environment through their life.
"Akasathinte Niram" was entirely picturized at Neil Island, which is 40 kms. from Andaman and Nicobar Islands and There it has a set up of a wooden house to charm the beautiful sea shores. Well its been a proud moment for Malayali's around the world.
