Review : "Zachariyayude Garbhinikal"
The movie definitely has its moments, but you may encounter the feel that it could have been much more better than this one. Visual attraction is there, which manage to pull the attention with its subject and the story develops in a sensible way. Aneesh Anwar's "Zachariyayude Garbhinikal" looks a bit of unconventional, still a watchable movie....
Story revolves around a gynaecologist Dr. Zacharia (Lal), his wife and four pregnant women. Doctor loves his wife Susan (Asha Sharreth) and they have no children yet. Now we have
four women, Anuradha (Sandra Thomas) going through rough patch in her married life, where her husband (Joy Mathew) is bedridden after an accident and she get in two situations with her pregnancy, whether to end or keep her child. Sister Jasmine Jennifer (Geetha), who wants to experience motherhood in her 50's. She goes through artificial insemination and is under consultation of Dr. Zacharia.

Saira (Sanusha) a teenage girl, who get pregnant and goes against her parents consent, there she want to give her baby for adoption. Fathima (Rima Kallingal), a nurse, who fakes her pregnancy to avert duty timings. On the other we have Ajmal (Aju Varghese), who has a soft corner for Fathima. All these four pregnancies goes through different aspects and through this we goes through life of these women to know the affect after their pregnancies, which forms the rest of this movie.
Aneesh Anwar seems to have got in two stages as writer and a director, where director scores the maximum and the writer in him fall short to average. Screenplay traverse differently with not giving proper equations to each characters. In the technical side, movie has its all wishes fulfilled with brilliant cinematography by Vishnu Narayanan and the edits also goes well. Vishnu-Sharath's music also jells well and the background score by Prashanth Pillai, also gives good touch to the proceedings.
Lal performed his character with utmost sincerity and provide the perfect rendering. Rima Kallingal gave her best and deserves the special applause. Sanusha lags a bit, Asha Sharreth and Sandra Thomas also did their roles well. Geetha enacted her character beautifully and needs to be appreciated for that. Aju Varghese, Joy Mathew, Raveendran, Kochupreman, Sivaji Guruvayoor and others have justified their characters as well. For the banner of Friday Film House, Sandra Thomas and Thomas Joseph Pattathanam are the producers of this Malayalam movie "Zachariyayude Garbhinikal".
