"Salala Mobiles" Malayalam movie review
Sharath A Haridaasan directed "Salala Mobiles" Malayalam movie pretends to be imaginative in appearance, but in reality here it feels cloyingly sentimental. The story lacks the measurable amount of effort that fails to put on the intended narrative. The makers have prepared the script that kind of itself fell in the perplexed situation. Even the stars Dulquer Salmaan and Nazriya Nazim have couldn't help the story telling. On a note, this movie turns out an average one.....
Alright the story here revolves around the life of Afsal (Dulquer Salmaan) and Shahana (Nazriya Nazim). Afsal is a lazy lad, who have a caring and lovable
mother (Geetha), while kind of good for nothing tag fits on his lifestyle perfectly. To do something, he starts a mobile phone shop with the money provided by his uncle (Jose) residing in Salalah, Oman. To credits, shop has been named as "Salala Mobiles" and his companion in this venture is Binoy (Jacob Gregory).
Now the thought of everything has set, emerge in the mind of Afsal, but a bus stop opposite his shop, lays the platform to move further. He fell in charm of Shahana, who used to take bus from that stop and moreover to that she happen to visit his shop for a mobile recharge. Now the mobile number is with the hero and to help more to his extent, Afsal gets a phone tapping software from Alakarsami (Santhanam), a mobile application developer hails from Coimbatore. Rest of the story follows the tapping scenario and leads to the weary climax.
Here the problem evolves with shifting of narration with romance, humour and purpose to serve. The maker seems to be juggling between the perceivable limit of an audience. Script too loosen up in accordance to direction, while Sharath A Haridaasan has shown up his skills gained over his career. It feels that movie could have interested, if it traverse the right dimension. Visual composition looks in good touch with Satheesh Kurup hands. Editing stays at the satisfactory level. Music wasn't that happening to give the feel.
Dulquer Salmaan hasn't affected the character and this could be easily his average show in terms of his previous outings. Nazriya Nazim was there for the romance, unfortunately that too didn't look convincing. Surely some nice show is there from the actor Jacob Gregory and Santhanam done his usual in a cameo. Siddique, Geetha, Mamukkoya, Tini Tom, Jose, Janardanan, Narayanankutty and others have managed their characters with demand. For the banner of Anto Joseph Film Company, Anto Joseph is the producer of this Malayalam film "Salala Mobiles".
