Johnson - Bhavasangeetham pasts 4 years.....

1953 - 2011

Famous music director of Malayalam Cinema, Johnson is now no more with us. But his unforgettable music is still whispers in our ears. Today (August 18) it past 4 years for his memories....


 Johnson was introduced to G.Devarajan mash by Jayachandran, which began the career of Johnson as composer. Johnson's first movie as music director was "Aravam" in 1970's era and there after he had composed
music for about 300 Malayalam movies. 

 He worked with great legends of Malayalam cinema like Padmarajan, Bharathan, Lohithadas and others as well.

 "Nammuku Parkan Munthiri Thoppukal", Oru Minnaminuginte Nurungavettam, "Perunthachan", "Ponthanmada", "Bhoothakkannadi" include some of his splendid works.


 Johnson was awarded with National Award twice and Kerala state award for five times. His association with Kaithapram was notable. Song "Aadivaa Katte" from the movie "Koodevide" and Devanganagal from "Njan Gandharvan", "Kanneer Poovinte Kavilil" from "Kireedam" really touch the hearts of music lovers. 

 After the gap of 2-3 years, Johnson returned to Malayalam cinema with the movie "Photographer". Johnson passed away on August 18th, 2011 in Chennai at the age of 58 years. Johnson married to Rani and has two children's Shan and Renn.
