Review : "Njanum Ente Familyum".
K.K.Rajeev's directorial venture "Njanum Ente Familyum" released across the theatres last saturday. Directors first film seems to be inspired from the same old tragedy's of malayalam cinema, it may not claim to be the appreciable story, K.K.Rajeev treated the "Njanum Ente Familyum" as a normal one, Screenplay let you down written by Cherian Kalpakavady. It is your choice to go for it or not.
Jayaram played the character of a cardio surgeon Dr. Dinanathan lives his prosperous life with the family consisting of his wife Dr. Priya enacted by Mamta Mohandas and their children. On one fine contraction with the patient suggested by Dr. Murthy performed by Jagathy Sreekumar, led to the turmoil in the life of Dr. Dinan. Patients(John Pailikunel) character is summarised by Manoj K.Jayan, John supposed to be the husband of Dr.Dinan's former love interest Sophiya played by Mythili. Story
moves with the patient, lover and husband like old wine in the new bottle style. This let you down as a viewer that you had seen many moments like this in many malayalam films.
Everyone played their part nicely especially Manoj K.Jayan and Mythili notched the maximum spots. Along with the above cast Nedumudi Venu also made his presence felt in "Njanum Ente Familyum". Cheriyan Kalpakavadi has to work little more on the script rather to put the same old pattern on the line. K.K.Rajeev has directed some class serials, but on this level he needs some more patience to put the real one on the silver screen. Music department also has made song hearable, worked out by the hands of M.G.Sreekumar and Rajeev Allunkal. Vaidy S.Pillai work looks okay as the cinematographer. Vinod Sukumaran done the editing for this film. For the banner of Seven Arts International, G.P.Vijayakumar produced this malayalam movie "Njanum Ente Familyum" brought to the theatres by Seven Arts Release.
