Navodaya Appachan leave the Cinema Scope

Maliampurackal Chacko Punnoose, later on known as the Navodaya Appachan for the lovers of malayalam films. Appachan was considered as the first person to introduce new technologies to the Malayalam cinema or Indian cinema. Whether it is cinema scope or 70 mm films which was gifted by
the great innovator of malayalam cinema. Above all Navodaya Appachan was the man who presented the 3D films to the viewers of Indian Cinema with his movie "My Dear Kuttichatan", which was released as "Chota Chetan" in Hindi.
Appachan's courage to showcase something new was visible from his films, He understand the every vein of the Malayalees, whether to introduce newcomer or to bring new technologies to the malayalam films, he always stood ahead. His earlier stint with his brother Kunchako's Udaya Studio give him the motivation to start Navodaya Studio, which later come on neck to neck on the competition of films, there rivalry was well known history of the malayalam cinema.
His major films include "Thacholi Ambu", "Padayottam", "My Dear Kuttichathan", "Manjil Virinjha Pookkal". In "Manjil Virinja Pookkal", Appachan introduced Mohanlal, Shankar, Director Fazil, Poornima Jayaram and others, who later on become the famous stars for the film industry. Navodaya Appachan was also the founder of the first theme park of India in chennai as "Kishkintha". J.C.Daniel Award winner Appachan was also presented the Bible Ki Kahaniya for the viewers of Doordarshan.
Appachan's funeral will take place on tomorrow at chennai, while his body is kept at the Ernakulam Town Hall to pay the last salute, till today evening.
