The government decision to levy the charge on cinema ticket for the welfare of the poor artistes, is not accepted to the Kerala Film Exhibitors Federation and they have decided to put the lock out in the theatres on May 30. Authorities have decided to move with their plan for the strike on May 30.
As per today's scenario, there has been an increase in the electricity bill, expenses
on the employees and dearth of good films have led to the shut down of many theatres and now with this decision it will bring the more burden on the exhibitors side. Even the chief minister has promised the special package, which wasn't implemented yet.
Kerala Exhibitors Association President Liberty Basheer, General Secretary M C Bobby, Ramdas Chellur, Advocate M Rajan and others have addressed the press conference that strike will be held on May 30 by protesting the decision of government.
