"Balyakalasakhi" shoot began...

The much awaited and long time project of director Pramod Payyannur's Malayalam movie "Balyakalasakhi" picturization has began during this week. Mammootty will portray the lead character of Majeed and the movie will be the visual adaptation of novel "Balyakalasakhi" written by well known Vaikom Muhammed Basheer. Mammootty has joined the sets during this week at the location around Alappuzha.

 Mammootty will do the double role as father and son. "Thattathin Marayathu" fame actress Isha Talwar will perform the character of Suhara, who's been the childhood friend of
Majeed. Another actress Meena will join the cast as Majeed's wife. As per the reports, there has been a training camp for selected artists, attended by noted personalities from the industry. Director Pramod Payyannur has shown his skills in the field of media and theater.

 Living Arts and Asthes Media will produce this movie. Venu ISC would wield the camera, while editing has settled by Manoj Kannoth. Music is special for this movie and the greats of Malayalam music has teamed up for the songs, where tunes have been designed by G Devarajan master, K Raghavan master and Shahabaz Aman, while the lyrics penned by P Bhaskaran mash, O N V Kurup, K T Muhammed, Sreekumaran Thampi and Kavalam Narayana Panicker.

 Indrans Jayan would design the costumes and the make up plays the key role, which is done by Pattanam Rasheed. All the leading singers have given their voice to this movie, which include Dr K J Yesudas, P Jayachandran, K S Chithra, Shankar Mahadevan, Vijay Yesudas, M G Sreekumar, Sithara and others. Mammootty's recent release "Kadal Kadannu Oru Mathukutty" hasn't received the good response at the screens and with this new movie, he will look to replenish the latter one.
