"Nadodi Mannan" Malayalam movie review
As the movie "Nadodi Mannan" was in queue for the right time of release and when it happened the result was just meagre. The makers have tried to insert the same set of formula that one can expect from Dileep's movie. First half give up some moments to laugh and second half totally missed out on the script and execution as well. Sorry to say "Nadodi Mannan" is just for die hard Dileep fans, so there we gave it a thumbs down from our side.....
The movie surrounds the life of Padmanabhan (Dileep), works as an agent to provide people for rallies of political parties,
religious or any other occasion, he will be there with set of people. In one of his works, he goes to Thiruvananthapuram for a political rally arranged by city's Mayor (portrayed by Vijayaraghavan), who is in good terms with villain Pushpan (Sayaji Shinde), who became rich by crushing poor people. The rally was interrupted by bomb blast, which was planned to gain political sympathy.
The blast results injury to Padmanabhan, who's been taken to the medical college which falls short of medical facilities. After analyzing the critical atmosphere of medical college hospital, the politician inside him born up and there his bonding with Meera (Ananya), from there on we can see him as Mayor of city. Other characters also zoom on to the show, former king (Nedumudi Venu) and his daughter Aathira (Archana Kavi), a journalist Rima (Mythili). All this takes you to the climax of this movie.
Viji Tampy hasn't brought on anything new on direction pattern and the treatment given was pretty ordinary that combines of Dileep's previous movies. Director executed the story behaving like a comical attempt rather than a serious one. Poorly written script from Krishna Poojapurra, almost done the half work for movie's result. Technical glitches add more to woes of makers, where Sanjeev Shankar's cinematography doesn't look attractive enough. Editing also fails to provide the charm it needed. Songs are at the average level with the hands of Vidyasagar and the lyrics were written by Vayalar Sarath Chandra Varma.
It wasn't that tough for a cat to land on his legs, that's the same case with Dileep is here. Again a movie caters the audience to comic genre and this been the second time in two months, Dileep has come up with his comical flick. Sayaji Shinde scores the maximum of his character with his rendering style. Ananya was there for the character, which lags the importance, otherwise Mythili and Archana Kavi haven't got too much of screen space. Sreelatha Namboothiri, Nedumudi Venu, Salim Kumar, Vijaya Raghavan, Suraaj Venjharamoodu, Sai Kumar, Salim Kumar and others have managed their roles as well. For the banner of Chithra Entertainment, V Suresh is the producer of this film, which is being distributed through Vendhar Movies.
