Response to "Punyalan Agarbathis" is encouraging : Ranjith Sankar
The response to the Malayalam movie 'Punyalan Agarbathis' has been
very encouraging in the state, the film's director and producer Ranjith
Sankar said on his Kozhikode visit.
The film deals with the story of a Thrissur-based entrepreneur Joy Thakkolkaran, enacted by actor Jayasurya, who conceives the idea of making agarbathis from elephant dung and the film tracks down the challenges that await him in his venture, Ranjith told reporters here.
Besides Jayasurya, the other actors include Nyla Usha, Aju
Varghese, Narayanankutty, Innocent and Sreejith Ravi.
Jayasurya, who is also the co-producer of the film, has also rendered a song in the film, he said.
Punyalan Agarbathis is the fourth film directed by Ranjith, the previous ones being 'Passenger', 'Arjunan Sakshi' and 'Molly Aunty Rocks'.
Santhosh Varma has penned the lyrics and Bijibal has scored the music for the film.
