"Peruchazhi" sets box office on fire !

On this Onam festival, it seems that Jagannathan is all set to conquer box office as well. Mohanlal's "Peruchazhi" sets cash registers ringing with its collection record ever for a Malayalam film in India. According to the reports, movie has grossed around 3 crore from India itself on its opening day, which is highest ever for a Malayalam flick.

Update - On US box office, 'Peruchazhi' has churned out around 24 lakhs (41K $) in 3 days. On the other, second day collection in India was stayed around 2.25 to 2.50 crore.

 With the presence over 500 screens and worldwide release, "Peruchazhi"
has also become the third biggest grosser movie and second Malayalam film in Kerala region to do so. Initial reports claim that film has collected around 1.90 crore on its first day in the state and before this Mohanlal starrer Tamil movie "Jilla" was opened with 2.80 crore to grab the first position.

 First Malayalam film is "Casanovva" reportedly collected around 2.16 crore and from this point of view, "Peruchazhi" stays on the second place. The movie is being distributed by Friday Tickets and Fox Star Studios.

 Here it is a lone release for this week and it will be galore of release on next Friday. Lets see how much it would mint from the box office....., stay tune with us....
