"Liar's Dice" of Geethu Mohandas, India's official entry to the Oscars

Another proud moment for Malayalam film fraternity, Geetu Mohandas Malayalam actress first directorial debut film "Liar's Dice" has been selected as India's official entry to the Oscars. It will compete in best foreign film category at 87th Academy Awards. The film has been chosen by Film Federation of India among 30 shortlisted movies.

Geetanjali Thapa have won 61st National Film Awards for best cinematography and best actress respectively. It also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Manya Gupta, Murari Kumar and Vikram Bhagra. The movie got screened at Mumbai Film Festival and Sundance Film Festival in America.



 "Liar's Dice" plot revolves around journey of a tribal woman with her daughter to find her missing husband. How she managed to reach her destination Delhi, is the story all about.

 Earlier before this, Geethu has directed a short film in Malayalam titled "Kelkkunnundo".
