"Vellimoonga" Malayalam movie review
After a while, a nice and simple flick is all there to give you a feel good moment. Although "Vellimoonga" Malayalam movie doesn't offer anything new, but still script has its importance with some considerable elements of humour. Cinematographer turned director Jibu Jacob's straightforward attempt is appreciable. On verdict point, this film is watchable one for some good performances....
The plot here concentrates on the life of Mamachan (Biju Menon), unlike his
father CP, he used to dislike politics after seeing his father gone down to destitution, which forced them to leave their native place Kanjirapally. However after CP's death, whole responsibility of family is now on Mamachan.

Here with new base in Shanthipuram village, some circumstances led Mamachan to enter the field of politics. He has his pal Paachan (Aju Varghese) to support him in every occasion. But marriage was the factor there as he is already in his 40's. Meanwhile he find his love interest in Lisa (Nikki Galrani), which forms rest of narration.
As we earlier mentioned Joji Thomas treated the script in a right proportion by not going beyond limits with humour. On directorial debut, Jibu Jacob hasn't tampered the flow of story and maintained the narration smoothly. Vishnu Narayanan Namboothiri's cinematography adapted some adorable scenes. Sooraj's editing was nice. Songs stays average, while Background score of Bijibal is something that catch your attention.
Biju Menon, after a decade or so returns to a lead character role and he managed it efficiently. Especially that Kanjirapally slang to utilized maximum of this opportunity. Aju Varghese also made his role pretty interesting. Nikki Galrani hasn't got too much to perform. Lena played 'Molli kutty' pretty nicely. Siddique, Tini Tom, Sunil Sukhada, KPAC Lalitha, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Pashaanam Shaji, Shashi Kallinga and others have made their contribution felt. Asif Ali's special appearance was noticeable.
For the banner of Bhavana Media Vision, Shashidharan Ullattil is the producer of this film.
