Malavika Mohanan in place of Nikki, in VKP's "Nirnayakam"

It took over a year for Malavika Mohanan to sign her second Malayalam film and in latest, she is putting her feet in boots of heroine with V K Prakash's upcoming movie titled "Nirnayakam" starring Asif Ali in the lead role. Earlier this role was offered to Nikki Galrani, who in turn opts out to stay away from date issues.

 Malavika has first appeared in the movie "Pattam Pole" along with Dulquer Salmaan and the film was
turned down by audience. She is the daughter of cinematographer K U Mohanan. Bobby-Sanjay scripted movie's shooting has been progressing.

 Asif Ali is reportedly doing a role of NDA student in "Nirnayakam" Malayalam movie, which also features Nedumudi Venu, Saiju Kurup, Prem Prakash, Tisca Chopra and others in major characters.

 On the other, V K Prakash also tried his hands in acting with "Vidooshakan" directed by T K Santhosh. It is a biopic on Malayalam writer M R Nair, who is known from his pen name Sanjayan. It has screened at 'Malayalam Cinema Today' section in IFFK.
